Yoohoo, I'm Back!!

Hello my arty friends!
I am finally back from our holiday, feeling recharged and ready to get back to the easel this week!

Obviously I have nothing arty to share yet, so I thought I'd just say hello and share a few holiday snaps with you. It has been a real shock to the system returning from 30 degree heat to the freezing temperatures we are experiencing in the UK - It's a shame because my glorious tan is hidden beneath a thousand layers of clothing!

Ah well, my head is filled with some wonderful memories that I will treasure forever...

...A glorious Maldivian Sunset

...Enjoying a drop of fizz

...Precious time with my lovely Hubby!

...Beautiful surroundings

...My view from the plane on the way home

So, next stop - The Art Studio!
Oo-er... I hope I can remember how to paint!!

Back soon!

I am looking forward to Spring now, not least for the longer days, because of course with that comes more painting hours :0)

  2. I love the Maldives and, in my Aviation Days, used to visit them twice a month for 15 years :0) I wrote a short story, "A Garland of Islands" about Maldivians and their Dohnis (boats) that got published by a magazine, a million years ago.

I think I mentioned that Maldives is Sanskrit for, "Garland of Islands".

Welcome back and we are all looking forward to your next project

Yes, they are beautiful aren't they? I've never been anywhere quite like it. I haven't heard of 'Garland of Islands', only 'Pearls of the Ocean'... Both are pretty apt! You really have so many fascinating stories to tell John :0)

I did take my sketchbook, but it was so hot that the pen kept slipping out of my fingers! :0)

  5. Welcome back, Sandra! I enjoyed seeing your photos you shared from your holiday both on FB and now here. It does look like a great place, even though it would be a about 15-20 degrees too hot for me :)
