WIP Complete...

If you are one of my regular readers, you may remember my recent post of the unfinished cat (Flopsy) that I had been asked to draw for my Sisters friend.

Well, I didn't touch it again until yesterday, but now I have finished the cat and it is in its frame ready to go tomorrow.

Here it is in its mount...

I don't usually post the same thing twice, but I think it's nice to see a work in progress once it's all finished!

I would just like to say a huge thank you and welcome, by the way, to my new followers too! I seem to have built up quite a collection and I am grateful to each one of you for showing an interest.

  5. This looks so good now that it is finished and framed. Much kudos for this one.
(For a minute, I thought you had added a background in the framed version, but it is the reflection in the glass)

  9. Melanie - Thank you so much. It's amazing how a frame can really make a picture :0)

Crystal - Thank you! I really was SO touched by your lovely comment. It means a great deal, so thank you! :0)

Padmaja - Thank you. I was surprised just how many colours there were in the fur, including blues and purples too! I try to keep this blog mainly about sketching, but it's nice to share my finished drawings too.:0)

Tito - Thank you. I can almost hear your lovely accent when I read your comments - and I love that word - 'Bravissima'! Thank you for using it to describe my drawing! :0)

Frank - Thank you. Yes, I see what you mean about the reflections. Somewhere in there is a little bit of me! You can also see part of the French Doors in the hallway, which I posted some time ago in watersolouble pen! :0)

Sparrowhawk - Thank you. I have been trying everything! So far the only thing I haven't enjoyed is oil pastels - and though I love watercolours, I am still finding them tricky :0)

Sue - Thank you. I thought I should show the finished pice. Its amazing how such little finishing touches make such a difference :0)

Jane - thank you. I had never met the cat before and only has a photograph to go by - but it's amazing how much easier I found the drawing once I was told Flopsy's name. As odd as it sounds, somehow I felt a tiny bit more of a connection :0)

Thank you all so much for popping in and leaving all of these lovely and encouraging comments!
